Love dessert? Love a little combination of ice cream and chocolate syrup? Starting to sound good to you. Would you like a dessert? Like say...a Chocolate Sundae?
How about a $25, 000 Chocolate Sundae?
Yesterday, it was printed that the owner of Serendipity in NYC has developed such a dessert. This ridiculously absurd dessert is a blend of 14 of the most expensive and, of course, exotic cocoas from around the globe. It contains .2 ounces of edible 23-karat gold and is served in an edible gold goblet with an 18-karat gold, white diamond bracelet at its base.
The sundae is topped with whipped cream covered with more gold and a side of La Madeline au Truffle from Knipschildt Chocolatier, which sells for $2,600 a pound.
You eat this bad boy with a gold spoon decorated with white and chocolate-colored diamonds that you take home as a souvenir.
So...let's pause....and take a few moments to think about this...................ARE YOU SERIOUS??!?!
I know $25, 000 for a chocolate sundae may be a little steep for most apartmentites like me, so I will offer a much more affordable and efficient version to throw together in your apartment....and no, I'm not talking about bean dip-poptarts.
First..take 3 scoops of chocolate ice cream and put them in a bowl. Next, cover that with chocolate syrup. Third, put a cherry on top. And finally, eat and enjoy it while you imagine that it is covered in gold and diamonds.
Mmmmmm...true bliss and happiness for less than 5 bucks.
$25,000?!??!?! Sheesh! "You musta lost yo mind!"
